Dr. Keith Phillips was born and educated in Rural NSW (Orange). He had his first pony at age 5 and spent most of his holidays with an Aunt & Uncle who were veterinarians. Keith developed his passion for the industry and occupation from about the age of 8. Keith attended The University of Sydney, graduating in 1986 and advanced straight into racing practice at the Warwick Farm Equine Centre, where Keith worked with Alistair Murdoch for 2 years.
Whilst in Sydney, Keith was heavily involved in sports, representing Wesley College in Rugby, Basketball, and Aussie Rules, Sydney Uni for Rugby League, and then as the founder and inaugural president of the Sydney University American Football Club.
Keith moved away from the city in late 1988 to the sem-irural lifestyle of the Central Coast He returned to horse riding and played Polocrosse for 6 seasons, before ceasing that to allow his children to enjoy more time at Pony Club, where Keith is currently an instructor.
Keith's introduction to Chiropractic was via a family member, and as he became more interested, he attended relevant courses for study. Accordingly, he attended the first Manipulative Therapy workshop in 1994 & enrolled in the first RMIT Animal Chiropractic Diploma course in 1998.
Graduating from there, Keith commenced practice exclusively doing Chiropractic work with horses & dogs. It gave Keith great pleasure, satisfaction and reward to be able to manage horses with sore backs & other performance problems successfully, without the ubiquitous requirement of a "spell".
